Welcome to Jenn's Zen!
Hello there and welcome! Thanks for checking things out! I'm Jennifer Good, and this blog is my story. I believe the only way to grow is to share what you know. After creating and selling a top 1,000 website for a seven-figure sum, the best way for me to grow is to share some of my experience with others. That's where Jenn's Zen comes in. Within these pages you'll find my insider tips, sage advice, and inspiring ideas for growing your business. It is my hope that you'll be able to learn from some of my successes and failures and discover your own "good" life. I invite you to look around, possibly share some of your own tips and hopefully we'll both learn from each other.

Success Domino

Everyone has a different idea of what determines success. However, there are a few basic principles that allow you to reach any level of success no matter what area of your life you’re focusing on. To help illustrate some of these key principles, I’m sharing some of my favorite quotes on the topic. It is my hope that they are as inspiring to you as they are to me.

Passion is a key ingredient to success…

“When a man feels throbbing within him the power to do what he undertakes as well as it can possibly be done, this is happiness, this is success.”
–Orison Swett Marden

“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.”
–Herman Cain

Be ready when opportunity comes knocking…

“The secret of success in life is for a man to be ready for his opportunity when it comes.”
–Benjamin Disraeli

“Most successful men have not achieved their distinction by having some new talent or opportunity presented to them. They have developed the opportunity that was at hand.”
– Bruce Barton

You must remain steadfast in your belief and purpose…

“The secret of success is consistency of purpose.”
–-Benjamin Disraeli

“Always bear in mind that your own resolution to success is more important than any other one thing.”
-–Abraham Lincoln

“Successful and unsuccessful people do not vary greatly in their abilities. They vary in their desires to reach their potential.”
–John Maxwell

“The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather in a lack of will.”
–Vincent T. Lombardi

Inaction = no movement towards your dreams

“Success is your dreams with work clothes on.”
-–Unknown

“None of the secrets of success will work unless you do.”
–Unknown

Don’t give up…

“Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”
–Thomas Edison

“Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom.”
–General George Patton

You must be a linchpin

“No one ever attains very eminent success by simply doing what is required of him; it is the amount and excellence of what is over and above the required that determines the greatness of ultimate distinction.”
–Charles Kendall Adams

“Success means having the courage, the determination, and the will to become the person you believe you were meant to be”
 –George Sheehan

Standing Out

I’ve always found the biggest obstacle to success for people is a lack of action. There are typically a variety of emotional reasons that hinder us from making that leap from idea to action. These reasons are usually based in fear. Whenever I feel the tingle of doubt or fear sneak in, I look to some of these quotes to help motivate me to push through these potential barriers. Hopefully, they’ll work for you too. :)

“If you only do what you know you can do – you never do very much.”
–Tom Krause

“Take time to deliberate; but when the time for action arrives, stop thinking and go in.”
– Napoleon Bonaparte

“Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires courage.”
–Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Thinking is easy, acting is difficult, and to put one’s thoughts into action is the most difficult thing in the world.”
–Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

“Don’t wait. The time will never be just right.”
–Napoleon Hill

“Action conquers fear.”
–Peter Nivio Zarlenga

“Many fine things can be done in a day if you don’t always make that day tomorrow.”
–Anonymous

“Believe and act as if it were impossible to fail.”
–Charles F. Kettering

“Everything you want is out there waiting for you to ask. Everything you want also wants you. But you have to take action to get it.”
–Jules Renard

“To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires courage.”
–Ralph Waldo Emerson
